Work Experience Scheme for Young People at the STG Construction Site

We are collaborating with Purcell, the main contractor on St. Teresa’s Gardens construction site, and INTREO, to launch a work experience scheme for young people aged between 18 and 25, from the local area, who are interested in construction trades. The young person would need to be on a social welfare payment, which is topped up significantly while attending the scheme, which will run for between 3 and 6 months. The young person will work 24 hours per week, and gain valuable experience on-site, in a trade or trades they are interested in. There are further supports available for the employer to offer participants full-time work after the scheme ends, as well as ample opportunities in construction coming up locally with the development of John Player Wills/Bailey Gibson site even after work finishes on the St. Teresa’s Gardens site. Contact Rea on 087 3856 372, or realavelle@gmail.com, for further details.  Closing date is flexible, however we are hoping to get all placements filled before beginning of October 2020.
