Physical Regeneration

Project Stages

2011: A condition survey was completed by Dublin City Council on 150 units.

2014: Sixty flats in two flat blocks were refurbished to provide temporary accommodation for residents while they waited for their new homes. The refurbishment did not include the provision of lift access or provision of private open space. The refurbishment included increasing the floor spaces internally, dry lining, ventilation systems, rewiring, new kitchen and sanitary fit-outs, upgrading heating systems, redecorating and new front doors.  The increased floor space meant that sixty units (39 two bedroom, 21 three bedroom) were refurbished/ amalgamated to provide fifty-six units (35 one bedroom, 14 two bedroom and 7 three bedroom).
