Dublin City Council have listened to the local community and agreed to relocate the playground currently at St. Teresa’s Gardens flats, which was due to be demolished later this year, to the empty lot bordering Donore Avenue and Margaret Kennedy Road. The planters, as seen in the first photo, will also be relocated to this interim play area, which will hopefully remain in place until the full size sports pitch and linear park with a permanent playground have been constructed. This is great news for local families, as green space and play areas are in short supply in this part of Dublin 8. DCC are also going to install CCTV to ensure that this interim space will remain safe for everyone to use.
